Lady Captain Kath Jones was at the club early with husband Roy preparing for her special day unaware that, with the help of family and friends, her daughter Lisa had secretly flown in from Australia to join her! After the tears everyone had a great day and for Lisa it was a chance to meet up again with old golfing friends.
Traditionally the ladies play a 'FLAG' competition on Lady Captain's Day, with ladies who finish below their nett par going back down the first hole until they have used up their remaining shots and plant their flag. With a full tee sheet and glorious weather no less than five ladies achieved this and received their prizes at an evening presentation during Lady Captain's dinner.
