Doc Elder Trophy a welcome addition to OGC Board competitions
This new event attracted 66 players and produced some great scores (and even a hole-in-one on the 12th by Marie Male!) followed by a cold buffet and prize presentation. A successful raffle also raised £250 for this year's Captains' charity - the Severn Hospice.
The competition has been introduced by our current Lady Captain, Jude Elder, in memory of her father, 'Doc' Mike Elder. She talked of his long-standing membership of OGC - his most notable achievement being winning at least one Board competition during every decade of his 75+ years membership!
