Doug Humphreys Memorial

The annual Doug Humphreys Memorial saw a turnout of 24 teams compete for the glory to be crowned winners of this prestigious Board Competition.

Some great Golf was played by all, evident in the excellent scores this year but there can only be 1 Team that prevails. So, congratulations to………

1st place:   Keith Probert and Jean Williams - 55 and 4/12

2nd place:  Team Captains (James Woodward and Kath Jones) - 56 and 3/12  (presented by the Vice Captains)

3rd Place:  Grattan Smallman and Ellie Cumpston - 56 and 5/12

2’s:             Alun Harding and Marie Harding

                   Robin Rees and Elizabeth Redrup 

Well played to all participants.

The course was in excellent condition for this time of the year, receiving special mention by the Captain and this as a credit to our hardworking Green Staff. The delicious Carvery of Turkey and Beef was washed down with a few tipples and our sincere thanks to all our hardworking and diligent kitchen and bar staff.

Events like this only run smoothly and professionally due to the hardworking and pro-active assistance from our members who donate their time and energy into making events like this such a huge success, so a special thank you to Jude Elder and Judith Thornell.
