Guidance and Updates
We can't wait to get you all back golfing again on 29th March. Booking went live at 6:45am on Monday 15th March with the usual rolling 14 days in advance.
Full guidance is published here . This information has also been circulated via social media. It is not 'optional' and follows rules / procedures set by government in consultation with golfing bodies.
The general road map for OGC as restrictions are lifted is as follows but obviously could be subject to change..
• March 29th. Casual play only. Max playing group 4. Tee Times 7:30am - 6:00pm. No 4 balls before 9:00am (Sunday - Friday)
• April 12th. Outdoor catering with rule of 6. Shop reopens and aim is to restart competitions and move towards as normal a playing routine as possible.
• May 17th. Indoor catering with rule of 6.
• June 21st. Further review and hopefully a further easing of many restrictions
These remain difficult times and we all still need to be alert and vigilant to the dangers of Coronavirus. However if we all follow the guidelines and act in a responsible manner we can start to enjoy playing golf again.

Men's Knock out competitions for 2021 are now available to book online. Obviously there are certain pressures re Covid to get the events completed and certain small revisions have been thought prudent for this year.
Also with a slightly condensed timeframe we would ask potential competitors to be realistic when considering their availability before entering.
Entries for all competitions must be completed online and fees are £4 / competition and will be collected cashlessly via competition purse.
(I have formulated a work around in the competition entry system to facilitate cashless entry. Find the relevant competition from the drop down list, scroll to 18:01 when the competition starts and just enter your name in the tee sheet. Entries will then be gathered, draws performed and circulated and matches can start.)

Competition Purse Reminder (below is copy of instructions sent out last year and explains how competition purse / cashless entry works)
In order to return safely to competition play we have had to completely eliminate all cash handling for entries. Therefore we have introduced the BRS Competition Purse which fulfils this function and seamlessly links in with the booking system.
Basically you deposit money online in the competition purse and each time you enter a competition the purse balance is automatically debited to cover the entry fee.
You cannot enter a competition if you have not got the funds in the purse so below are instructions to get you started!
1. Log into OGC website and select book a tee time.
2. You will then be transferred to the BRS booking system. Click on the menu icon in the top right hand corner.
3.Click on Competition purse.
4. Click on 'top up'.
5. Select the amount you want to add to your purse and click 'top up'
6. You are then transferred to a secure payment page. Follow instructions and your payment will be processed securely by Sagepay.
7. Your purse will be credited and you should also receive a confirmation email.
Please can all members who wish to play in competitions add funds to their purse asap as competitions will be going live to book in the next few days.
