Keeping you updated
We hope you are all keeping well and occupied during this period of lockdown. As always we just wanted to keep you updated with news from the club and some changes upcoming.
The main aim of these updates is to keep you all informed of the various changes going on at the club, we hope you are finding them useful. We send out regular news via email to our members and guests, if you are not included and would like to be please email email@example.com
Our Captains would normally be elected in at the AGM which was due to take place last week, however due to the shutdown they have now assumed office.
Please join us in welcoming both Men’s Captain Jason Harris and Ladies Captain Margaret Evans into office. An odd start to their reigns, but we’re sure once we get through this, they will represent the club with great pride.
This weekend would have seen our new Men’s Captain driving into office, but with the closure, both drive-ins will now happen at a later date.
Additionally the Ladies Bates Salver/Bates Cup, will also be postponed until such time as a new date can be found.
As a club we are acutely aware of the social hub we provide for a number of you and if there is anyone in need of a little company please respond to this email and we can add you to a friendship email group, where you can all keep up to date with each other.
Golf Course Update
Gary has been busy out on the course with Joel doing their best to keep on top of things. It is a huge amount of work for the two of them, but they are making good progress on things and the course is looking great
Further to notes we have been encouraged by the influx of membership fees and thank all those who have paid up so far. We will send an update early next week, when we have month end details finalised.
If anyone has genuine difficulties please contact the office by email and we can discuss further.
Finally a HUGE thank you to all of you for staying away. It’s odd to be saying that, but, from what the government are saying it really is helping to stem the flow of this virus and help us get back to normality sooner, rather than later.
In the meantime, as mentioned above we really appreciate all the support thus far and remember we are here for you, so please do get in touch if you need to.
